Seriously, how hard is it to find an apartment in Corpus Christi? Damn yo. I have high hopes set for tomorrow.
I really dislike what I’ve woken up to but it’s time things are addressed and they will be at tonights house meeting. I get it. No one is perfect. Just because we are in recovery, does not mean we are perfect as the world expects.
Addict or normie. NO ONE has the right, to walk around and make people feel little. I can’t fucking stand passive aggressive bitches. Cowards. We are adults. Put your petty ego aside, and talk like one.
Use every excuse in the book. ‘I’m crazy!’ ‘I’m fresh out of detox.’ ‘I’ve had a rough time.’
WAH WAH WAH. Be that as it may. Unless you are mentally fucking retarded, no. You know right from wrong. There is a proper way to treat people and a proper way to act. There is not one thing you can say, to excuse or OK bad behavior.
THINGS. FUCKING. HAPPEN. It’s our choice, our God given free will! We have a choice, about how we REACT to those things, that happen in our lives.
Some people cannot let go of the chaos. They need it. They feed off of it. They need it to feel big again. Even if for a fleeting moment. That chaos is a rush. Chaos is what we as addicts are used to. Until you let go of that street behavior, you won’t be well spiritually and I do not have to be a part of it.
I am all for helping people. In fact, my girlfriend and I get into it (not so much anymore because I have learned to place boundaries in my life) about how passive I can be and how trusting I can be of people. Is it a bad thing to look for the good in people before shutting the door on them because of the bad they have done? Maybe. Today I have learned when it is time to shut that door. It’s never locked though.
Making the same mistakes. Over and over and over again expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. Until you make an HONEST effort to clean up your side of the street… you’re doomed to live in lies and excuses you make up for yourself.
I need a cigarette.
